VINTAGE 1997
VINTAGE 19975
The 1997 vintage was characterized by meteorological events of particular exceptionality for the Trentino territory. An initial drought, accentuated by late frosts, which thinned out the grapes, was followed by a spring with abundant rains, which re-established the water balance in the vineyards. The rainy summer with sustained temperatures led to an early ripening of the grapes, anticipating the harvest in the lower altitude areas. The excellent climatic conditions at the end of the summer resolved all health problems of the grapes, allowing a regular and uninterrupted harvest.

VINTAGE 2000
VINTAGE 2000
A rainy winter and a warm spring resulted in an optimal vegetative cycle for the mountain Chardonnay vines that give life to this wine. A cold, bizarre and capricious month of July, followed by a torrid August and a September full of rain and temperature fluctuations then ensured ripe grapes of excellent quality, notwithstanding a very early harvest.

VINTAGE 2001
VINTAGE 2001
The vintage shows extraordinary potential and is characterised by a regular and positive climatic trend, as well as a homogeneous and balanced development of the vineyard. The favourable trend of the vintage allowed us to emphasise to the full the vocation of our mountain vineyards in the production of grapes destined for sparkling wines with long ageing. The summer, and in particular the months of July and August, provided optimal conditions for the evolution of the Chardonnay, thanks to good sunshine and high temperature ranges. Ripening was very gradual within the vineyard, which allowed the optimal ripening point of each lot to be precisely identified for harvest.

VINTAGE 2002
VINTAGE 2002
The intense cold and the scarcity of rainfall during the winter was balanced by a very rainy spring and summer. Thanks to the timely green harvesting carried out by our agronomists, however, it was possible to contain the vigour of the vines and maintain an excellent vegetative balance. The high-altitude location of our mountain vineyards favoured aromatic ripening and made it possible to maintain the health of the grapes. The Chardonnay in particular was therefore able to reach a good level of sugar ripeness which, combined with the excellent acidity favoured by the cool climate, made it ideal for a sparkling wine base destined for long ageing.

VINTAGE 2003
VINTAGE 2003
The 2003 vintage was one of the warmest ever, in which the altitude of the vineyards and the influence of the mountains considerably mitigated the effects of the very high temperatures. The early spring was already very hot, leading to early budding and an early growing season. The year continued with high temperatures and low rainfall characterised by thunderstorms that were fortunately well distributed, allowing sufficient water supply to the vineyards. Harvesting carried out early in the morning to take advantage of the cool night temperatures and the subsequent timely processing of the grapes in the cellar helped to highlight the varietal characters of the grapes and their aromatic complexity in the wine.

VINTAGE 2007
VINTAGE 2007
The 2007 vintage will be remembered for its unpredictability, which made the season dynamic and full of interesting
challenges in the vineyards. After a snowless winter, the very warm spring brought rain only in May. The seasonal
advance was maintained despite the cool and rainy summer months, resulting in an early harvest starting by midAugust. The key contribution came from the mountains and the varying altitudes of the vineyards, which helped
maintain a good level of acidity in the grapes.

The cool summer allowed the mountain grapes to preserve good acidity and develop an interesting aromatic profile. In August, the Trentino vineyards enjoyed stable and sunny weather, which allowed the Chardonnay grapes to ripen well. The harvest began on 27 August.

VINTAGE 2009
VINTAGE
The winter was particularly cold and characterised by abundant rainfall. However, the delay in the start of the vegetative cycle was immediately recovered thanks to a very hot spring that brought the data regarding the development of the vines back to normal, even by the time of flowering and fruit set. Notable thermal excursions during the summer, with temperatures even higher than the seasonal average, led to a harvest of grapes that were perfectly healthy and rich in aromatic components.

VINTAGE 2011
VINTAGE
The fairly mild and rainy winter led to bud-break taking place some 12-15 days earlier than in the previous year. The spring was characterised by fine weather, whereas the month of July was rather rainy and cold. Harvesting began on
16th August with the earlier-ripening parcels of grapes and ended on 12th September with those from sites at higher altitudes. The 2011 vintage was small in terms of quantity, but the perfect health of the grapes and their good balance of acidity and sugars allowed us to obtain excellent base for our sparkling wines
